Patients often check Facebook or Instagram before they call: is the office friendly, are hours clear, and how do they book? You don't need medical lectures online. You need a steady rhythm of accurate, low-risk posts that match your real practice. This guide is for Corpus Christi–area dentists and dental offices — including Flour Bluff, Portland, TX, Padre Island, and Kingsville.
Important: Padre Post Co. is a social media service, not a medical practice, law firm, or HIPAA compliance advisor. We do not give clinical advice or promise treatment outcomes. You approve every post, and we skip sensitive or clinical content unless you clear specific wording. Your practice keeps final say on what can be published.
1. Keep profiles and booking paths accurate
- Google Business Profile shows the right phone, address or suite, hours, and insurance / new-patient notes you're allowed to publish — not an outdated lobby shot.
- Bio states who you serve and where (Southside, Flour Bluff, Portland TX, etc.) without stuffing every keyword.
- Link to the booking path you actually check: phone, online scheduler, or contact form.
- Never invent reviews or offer gifts for reviews. Reply to real public feedback politely and carefully.
2. Sample post ideas (useful and hedged)
Use only details and photos you're cleared to share. Default to office culture and logistics — not charts, diagnoses, or treatment claims.
- Meet the team (with permission): first names / roles only, smiling lobby or front-desk photos — no patient faces unless you have written consent.
- Hours and holiday schedule: clear open/closed dates; “confirm on our site or call” if anything might change.
- New-patient welcome: how to request an appointment, what to bring (ID, insurance card) at a high level — no clinical exam promises.
- Office culture: clean waiting room refresh, community event the office sponsors (confirm dates), or a thank-you to the front desk — keep it human.
- Soft education (non-clinical): “brush twice a day” style reminders that are general public-health tips, not diagnoses or product endorsements you can't stand behind.
- Insurance / payment high-level: only language your office already uses publicly; never invent plan coverage.
- Seasonal convenience: back-to-school checkup reminder season is fine as a soft CTA — no guaranteed openings unless your calendar says so.
3. HIPAA-aware habits (plain English)
- You approve every post on the monthly calendar before anything goes live.
- Skip sensitive content by default: patient names, chart details, treatment plans, X-rays, and anything that could identify someone who sought care.
- No before/after treatment claims or outcome guarantees unless your practice provides cleared wording and consent documentation you say is OK.
- No fake testimonials and no review incentives.
- If a draft feels too close to clinical or private, we cut it — your call stands.
This is marketing process, not legal advice. Ask your compliance contact if you're unsure about a specific post.
4. A schedule you can keep
- 2–4 posts a week beats a burst then silence — useful between busy clinic weeks.
- Batch lobby/team photos once a month; schedule captions you can approve in one sitting.
- Stories for day-of hours changes you really have; feed posts for lasting “how to book” cards.
- Answer DMs carefully — never discuss a patient's care in public comments or DMs beyond directing them to call the office.
5. What I won't do
- No clinical outcome claims, diagnoses, or “best dentist” ranking promises.
- No fake testimonials, fake stats, or review incentives.
- No posting patient photos or stories without your cleared permission.
- No posting without your approval.
6. When to get help
If the front desk and chairs leave no time for captions, that's normal. Padre Post Co. writes and schedules Facebook and Instagram posts from materials you provide; you approve everything, and we skip sensitive content by default. I'm local in Flour Bluff and focus on Corpus Christi and Coastal Bend offices — including Portland, TX and Corpus Christi.
Right now I'm taking on my first 3 local clients at a founding rate. See the Founding Client offer and pricing, or browse the spec sample posts to see the style.
Questions
Will you post clinical claims or patient stories?
No clinical outcome claims, before/after treatment claims, or patient stories unless you provide cleared wording and written permission. Default content stays on office culture, hours, team intros (with permission), and general new-patient CTAs you approve.
How do you handle HIPAA and sensitive content?
You approve every post before it goes live. I skip patient identifiers, charts, treatment details, and anything that could reveal protected health information. If a draft feels too sensitive, we cut it—your call stands.
